First time in a show?

Don't worry………We'll get you through it!

 

1. Let us know if you'd like to join showteam or just show in one of our scheduled shows. We will provide you with more informaton. In order to show, you must either own a horse or participate in a Five Star Partnership or Lease.

 

2. There are significant fees and costs associated with showing, both program and show fees and costs. We will provide that information to you when you are ready and interested (click here for summary of Five Star Show Fees - this does not include many of the show fees/costs, hotels when applicable or other potential costs that vary from show to show)

Trainer Fee (Rated Shows)…………………………………………………………………...…Daily Rate

Includes schooling rides for horses/riders and is in effect the day we leave for show

 

Trainer expenses……………………………………………………………..to be split by all competitors

Daily gas cost from hotel to show, hotel, grounds, show, food

 

Groom Fee……………………………………………………………………………Daily Rate

Includes set-up, grooming, supplies, lunging, unbraiding, feeding, cleaning, bathing, tack cleaning, etc…everything in regards to the horse. Groom fee is in effect the day we leave for show and is mandatory for all shows-except schooling shows.

Please tip grooms at end of each show.

Hauling fee is the same rate for hauling anywhere, i.e.; clinics, shows, schooling, etc.

 

Tack Stall and Groom Stalls.........................................................to be split by number of horses

*Cost depends on show; same cost as horse stalls

 

Tent Set Up Fee..........................................................................................................Per Horse/Per Show

This fee covers costs incurred to maintain our tent equipment and tack/grooming stall set up

 

Tent Flowers and Decorations.................................................................................to be split by all competitors

 

Day Horse Care…………………………………………...………………………………….Per day/per horse

Includes Feeding, Supplies & Cleaning

Day Horse Care is only offered for schooling shows when groom services are not wanted

 

Bathing…………………………………………………………………………………Per horse/per day

Bathing services are only offered at schooling shows, when groom services are not wanted

 

Show Clip…………………….………………………………………………………..Per horse/per time

Braiding Mane & Tail*…………………………………………………………….Per horse

Please expect to pay for re-braid if your horse rubs braids out

Full braiding is mandatory for all shows-except schooling shows, jumper divisions or unrated classes

 

 

 

Some fees may be split between competitors sharing a horse.

 

All Show fees and Five Star fees are to be paid prior to leaving show - All competitors MUST check out with show manager

WHERE TO BUY SHOW APPAREL 

Below are a list local and online stores where we recommend you buy your show apparel. Buying your equipment online is less expensive then buying from the local store but please keep in mind that they usually take 2 weeks to deliver so purchase with enough advance to receive in time for your show. Allow extra time if size is an issue, in case it doesn't fit.

A big thank you after a great performance

  • HELMET: Show quality approved helmet that accommodates rider's hair neatly UP UNDER the helmet

  • 12 & over - Hair UP under helmet, neat and confined. Glue it down if you have to - NO fly-aways! Hair nets help

  • Under 12 yrs old, acceptable to wear two NEAT braids with ribbons, but we prefer it up under helmut.

  • JACKET: Hunt Type Jacket in Black, Navy Blue or Hunter Green.

  • SHIRT: "Ratcatcher" type riding shirt. Colors ok, but white is preferred for hunters and eq

  • BREECHES: or Jodphurs for children (Garters if children are wearing Jodphurs). Beige, Khaki, or White (for Dressage only)

  • BOOTS: Over 13 yrs old - Tall BLACK boots, Jodphur boots ok for 12 & under (with garters).

  • BELT: unless pants do not a require belt.

  • GLOVES: Black only

  • CROP: Show quality crop (24" maximum).

 

USEF REGISTRATION

 

In order to compete in a rated hunter/jumper show, both horse and rider MUST register for USEF and USHJA membership.
